A note on location: Before you book, you should know the house sits directly off Route 2, so you'll hear road noise, mostly during the day. By evening the traffic thins out, and when you're sinking into the hot tub or pulling a chair up to the fire pit, what you mostly hear is the crackle of the fire and your crew. The trade-off is worth it, because being on Route 2 means being first to the mountain. On a powder day, while everyone else is still creeping up the access road, you're already clicking into your bindings with fresh tracks ahead of you.rnrnThe Ski Bar: The Ski Bar is in a detached garage a 5 second walk from the house, so you'll step outside to get there. It's heated by its own wood stove in winter, so light a fire when you get back and give it a few minutes to warm up. There's no air conditioning, so on hot summer days it's best enjoyed in the evening with the doors and windows open.rnrnHeating: The house is heated by oil and stays warm on its own. The living room wood stove is for ambiance, so use it whenever you want the glow or a little extra toast. Please let fires burn down fully before bed or leaving the house, and keep stove doors closed while burning.rnrnBunk room privacy: The bunk room (full + twin) is in an semi-open area near the staircase but it has a door. It's perfect for kids or easygoing sleepers, but groups needing three fully private rooms should plan accordingly.rnrnSnowmobiles: There's trail access right off the property and plenty of parking for sleds and trailers.
